1. How long have you been a location
photographer?
I've been shooting professionally, studio and
location, since 1982. My shooting career began in Los Angeles in 1980
as a photo assistant. I relocated to Dallas TX in 1982 where I spent many
years shooting for both editorial clients (D Magazine, Texas Monthly,
Southern Accents, Veranda Magazine) and catalog clients (Saks fifth Avenue,
Neiman Marcus, Horchow, Dillard's et al.) In 1999 I relocated to Portland,
Maine and set up my studio in the vibrant Old Port district.

2. Do you have qualified assistants
for location photography?
All my assistants are photographers themselves.
They are capable problem solvers in the studio and quick handlers of the
vagaries of natural light location photography. A second assistant in
the studio is sometimes helpful, but indispensable on location.

3. Will you travel outside of Maine
for a location shoot?
I am ready to travel to any location which the
project requires. I have shot editorial and commercial assignments on
location, both interior and exterior. I have worked with production companies
in New York and Maine, though my staff and I are glad to handle pre-production
ourselves at any time.

4. Can you shoot digital photography
on location?
The heart of our digital photography system
is a "single pass" PhaseOne digital back. It will produce an
excellent quality 18 mb file in a one-shot capture. Used in combination
with either an Arca-Swiss 6x9 view camera or a Mamiya RZ 6x7 SLR, it is
ideally suited for both people and product photography, in the studio
as well as on location. At this time, we are shooting digitally only in
the studio. We are adding to our mobile capabilities and hope to be shooting
digitally on location within the year.

5. Do you have a location scout on staff?
or Can you coordinate location scouting?
We have no location scout on staff. We use an
excellent freelance scout/production coordinator to handle our shoots.

6. Do you have a stylist (prop, hair/makeup)
on staff?
Beth's background in art direction, design,
catalog production and styling makes her an excellent stylist and invaluable
consultant. Our staff also includes an assistant stylist/coordinator to
help insure a smooth and successful production.
If you have a stylist with whom you would like us to work, that would
be our pleasure.

7. If I decided to shoot in Maine, will
you take care of all the necessary location arrangements ie: travel, permits,
tents, etc?
Yes. Any permits, travel arrangements, and
special equipment can be coordinated of by our studio for a shoot in the
State of Maine.
